Turn voice memos into text
You speak a thought before you forget it, in the car, walking, between two meetings. Hallig turns it into text and puts it on your clipboard. On iPhone and iPad you also find it in your history afterward.
How you record.
Open Hallig and the recording starts right away, no button to hunt for. You can also start it from the Action Button, a widget, or Siri. Say what is on your mind, and stop when you are done.
The text is ready right away.
Once Hallig has recognized your recording, the text sits on your clipboard. You do not need to search for it or export it. Pasting is enough, into a notes app, an email, or wherever you need it.
Your history.
Every dictation stays in your history, with a timestamp. On iPhone and iPad, the original recording stays there too, ready to listen back to. The free version keeps 7 days of history, Pro keeps it unlimited. On the Mac, Hallig does not store audio, so history there shows text only.
Works without an internet connection.
Recognition runs on your device, a dictation never leaves it. Apple Speech is often already installed and needs no extra download. For more languages or other devices, two more engines are available to download. That download happens once, and after that they also work without internet.

Do I need internet for recognition?
No, recognition runs on your device. Hallig only needs a connection for a one-time model download, for Apple speech assets, or for a license check. Never for the dictation itself.
How long does my voice memo stay saved?
Free keeps your history for 7 days, Pro keeps it unlimited. Nothing gets deleted automatically before that, older entries are only hidden.
Does Hallig change what I said?
No. Hallig only transcribes, it does not rewrite anything and does not trim filler words. Punctuation and capitalization come exactly as the recognition delivers them.
